The Sandbox

Heart Forward is supported by The Sandbox, a team of members in our community that provide intentional and thoughtful guidance to Heart Forward through the value, insight, and diversity of their lived experience.

Formed in August 2025, the group named itself The Sandbox as a metaphor for creativity and the freedom to explore. Through monthly advisory meetings, the activation of our local “Third Place,” hosting and supporting Heart Forward programming initiatives, and mutual accompaniment, The Sandbox plays an active and necessary role in reinforcing Heart Forward’s commitment to bold system change, centering people and their lived experience, a posture of horizontality and power-sharing, and the embodied advancement of Radical Hospitality.
